Zeit-Bites: Genius. Renata Adler

Here is an interview with the brilliant, incisive, long reclusive novelist, Renata Adler. Her novels, “Speedboat” and “Pitch Dark” and her essays were instrumental in my wanting to be a writer. I long tried to imitate the spare, concise prose she – and my other idol, Joan Didion – practiced. Read her work.
